Embroidery, Printing, Production Fees, and Color Consistency Policy

Clear production standards that protect garments, equipment, and long-term brand consistency.

We Do Not Remove or Repair Embroidery

Inkdnylon does not remove, repair, or alter existing embroidery. Embroidery permanently penetrates fabric. Removal causes needle holes, distortion, tearing, and discoloration.

Embroidery removal or repair is not a service we offer.

Single Item Embroidery

Single item embroidery is treated as custom production. One-off orders require the same setup, digitizing, calibration, machine time, and cleanup as bulk production.

  • Single items are not priced as bulk
  • Bulk orders provide the best value
  • Production setup is required regardless of quantity

Single-Item & Sample Production Fee

Orders with fewer than 6 items are considered single-item or sample production.

A $100 Single-Item / Sample Production Fee is applied to all orders of 1–5 items.

This fee covers file preparation, machine setup, calibration, test runs, spoilage risk, and cleanup. The production workload for one item is nearly the same as a full run.

  • $100 fee applies to 1–5 items
  • Fee is automatically removed at 6+ items
  • Item pricing remains unchanged
  • Bulk ordering is the most cost-effective option

Screen Printing & DTG Customer-Supplied Garment Policy

Inkdnylon does not accept customer-supplied garments for screen printing or DTG.

These processes involve moisture, pretreatment, heat, pressure, curing, and ink absorption, which create a high risk of spoilage.

Because customer garments cannot be replaced if damaged, garments must be sourced through Inkdnylon for screen printing and DTG.

Decoration Methods That Allow Customer-Supplied Garments

Customer-supplied garments may be accepted only for the following methods due to controlled application and lower spoilage risk:

  • DTF Transfers – Heat-applied with controlled placement
  • Vinyl – Precision cut and pressed with minimal saturation

All garments must meet material and compatibility requirements. Items may be declined at intake.

Important Color Consistency Policy

The only consistent embroidery color is the exact thread color specified in the embroidery file.

Embroidery thread is commercially produced by color number. If a substitute color is used, that color is not recorded or saved.

What this means for future orders

  • Substituted colors will not match future runs
  • Inkdnylon does not track substituted thread colors
  • Exact file colors are required for brand consistency

Color matching substituted colors is a separate service and may involve additional cost.
